Cursed Schuss

Sometimes you have a great plan to go up high above the rest of the tracks, and glorious-schuss-make. You try to do everything right. You go the distance….

You keep going until you get to the view (no views here by the way)…

BUT, despite the huge snow field at the bottom visible from the road, all the snow in the actual line is gone :(

Oh well… plan B!

Getting tight in here!

Not too tight for a skier!

I like to be making schuss past un-frozen-snow-fall! Very nice!

Later!

Oh dang that’s right! I knew I had seen the ironic view shot before. Forgot it was yours. Sorry dude. Getting thin. The glass is not half full. I’ll put it that way. The dive still goes patchy-like to just about the bottom. Won’t be long though until it’s only connected to the intersection with National.

Take it from me, the cursed schuss you guys had was definitely better than the lack of schuss I had today. Nice shots. It is so sad to see it going so soon… I’m not ready for the end just yet!

too bad on the coverage, the Mt. Dew skis might soon re-emerge from the closet if this keeps up.

Thanks Jay. We all use padded camera bags that attach onto hip belts.

Just came across these pics. Great local stuff. Been around there before myself. But long ago. Have fun and enjoy.
