The magic snow was skiing pretty well in the northern greens today… This past week has had so many bluebird powder days that it feels like cheating!

The uplift was prob. provided by the same upper air vorticity which swung down into the Greens.

ah I forgot to include a thought: where’s the orographic lift when you are in the middle of a floodplain?! I’ve figured sometimes on lake effect stuff near the river, but, the prevailing wind (and last night and today’s winds) are from the north…

When the NAO relaxes and moves and we shift the axis of the westerly wind flow north about 100 miles to the I-80 Corridor. When will that happen? Late Feb seems likely….really a historic set up right now.

Thanks for the update. Should be a fun weekend in the bc zones that nobody has hit yet. Any thoughts on when we get into a real storm cycle…not that I’m complaining the sneeky stuff keeps the masses at bay.
