Skiing by Mustache

After our running of the Stowe Derby (and our experience skiing by braille), we lost our guidebook, but still wanted to find the gnar. Christian’s solution was to just hold his hands up as if he were holding the guide book and hope we would remember which way it said to go.

That didn’t work, so we instead decided to let Christian’s newly birthed mustache be our guide. It should be noted that he shaved his beard into this mustache because he rode a line earlier this week which he’d had his eye on for several years. Once the line was slayed, he no longer needed the rest of his beard. Tell me that isn’t the greatest mustachiogenesis you have ever heard. (leave a comment if you have any great mustachiogenesis stories–especially if they involving skiing/riding)

The mustache pointed left and we followed. The mustache was right.

Thank you mustache. Thank you.

I almost forgot about that one… we should redo the TR from that trip and really work the mustaches in… they were without a doubt the most important feature of the trip (they fed us, led us and–for the single ones in the group–bedded us ; )

Is mustachiogenesis now a word? I like it!! the broader term might be “Beard Formation and variations thereof”

Beard Formation and variations thereof: the theory of mustachiogenesis.

I know you must have a great mustache story. Spill it!

not really. My wife said she’ll be mad if I mustache. Summer: shortest beard possible without looking like I forgot to shave for several days. Winter: let beard grow until sugaring season, then slowly start trimmin’ it down until it’s summer again. The beard always gets me grilled at the border. Sure of it.

I don’t know what you guys are talking about? I generally prefer mine as a Sel Hannah’s special with snow and ice mix in due to numerous powder face shots.
