Surprise! I’m out of witty powder taglines!

We headed back up to Mount Mansfield for another glorious day of harvesting deep fresh snow–some of it was even legitimate blower! I wouldn’t have thought it possible, but first tracks on Sunday at 4 weren’t out of the question.

Ben might be getting accustomed to this.

I got a lot of pictures of Ben’s back today. Hopefully he has some of my front.

Sadly, today featured storm light all day. Shutter speed? Nope. Powder? Yes.

Then right as the clock struck 4, it started snowing… what a glorious weekend in Vermont.

Good work out there. the other side of the Notch was a bit more of a slab fest due to the winds. Planning on some exploration this coming sat if you guys are in, chris is back in town and its time to start filming. Looking at the forecast touring without chairs might be the best option.

I agree with KC! That shot got me thinking of “Big Mountain, Little Skier”. Free the mind, go skiing, any way you can :-)

thanks guys! I’ve been trying real hard to get interesting perspectives on the hills we are so lucky to be able to ski, and i was pretty proud of that particular shot… so i’m glad you’re enjoying it!

You know how hard your ability to find powder makes predicting the weather! Damn. I say 2-3 or 3-5 and you hike around for six hours to find the one nook that’s got 8-10. Dagnamit!
