After a day of skiing short sunny shots, Allen and I were ready for something a little bigger, and the encroaching crowds were helping to push us out as well. So, we headed off for Barometer Peak, about 5 miles from the parking lot.
Sunrise over Shuksan, and what passed for backcountry earlier in the week.
Allen, Brian, and the first good view of our goal for the day.
Allen dropped into this line to see if we could ski pillows down into the basin.
We couldn’t. The pillows were less pillowy, and more huge-cliff-to-flat-y, so we ran away with our tails tucked.
This looks pretty fun, eh?
